I have heard great things about this book. Unfortunately, I have started on a huge reading project. It is on my list though.

This is probably a long shot, but I am starting the Great Books of the Western World as compiled by Adler. Would anyone want to join me in that task? It's a huge commitment, but should be quite rewarding.

I am interested in participating in the upcoming read along for Small Spaces by Katherine Arden. Is it too late to sign up? If not, how might I find more information or a start date?

I am also interested in reading along The Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butle, listed under “books looking for interest”

@gali and @Gravy I would like to do a read along with either one or both of you, but I'm having trouble thinking of a book. I see you both are in a read-a-long, but The Girl in the Tower is the second in the series and I haven't read the first. Also, I can't seem to find the other two books from Katherine Arden that's listed in my library. :eusa-think: Is there something either one of you have been itching to read and would want a partner to discuss the book? You both seem to read books that I think I would enjoy too. Let me know, and in the meantime, I'll try to keep thinking of options too.

I will be glad to. :)

What genre do you prefer?

Here some of the books on my reading list:

* "Nine Perfect Strangers" by Liane Moriarty
* "In a Dark, Dark Wood" by Ruth Ware
* "The Sisters of the Winter Wood" by Rena Rossner
* "Spellslinger" by Sebastien de Castell
* "The Wind in His Heart" by Charles de Lint
* "The Diviners" by Libba Bray

Maybe Gravy will have more suggestions. :)

I would definitely be interested. :)

Here are some that I have on my list (though not necessarily on hand (Amazon used books are my friends!)):
  • Norma Sofi Oksanen
  • The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson
  • The Apocalypse of Elena Mendoza by Shaun David Hutchinson
  • Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin
  • Zoo City by Lauren Beukes
  • Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion
  • The Mermaid by Christina Henry
There's also White Stag by Kara Barbieri (it's supposed to be on the way (won it in a giveaway), and various Stephen King books.

And don't forget, you were both interested in The Memory Painter by Gwendolyn Womack. :tiphat:

Kara Barbieri's book isn't out yet, but it looks good.

I also like "Zoo City" by Lauren Beukes, Norma Sofi Oksanen, "The Apocalypse of Elena Mendoza" by Shaun David Hutchinson, Winter's Tale, and maybe the The Mermaid by Christina Henry. I also don't mind one of Stephen King's books as long as it isn't too scary...

I will go with any books you like from either list.
