Over...

Stephan King

Under...

Charles Bukowski

Know what, can't really answer these questions honestly because for me it's more of a who I like or don't so much. I mean I answered King for overrated but there are a good many people who love his writing, I don't. As for the author I would say is underrated is Charles Bukowski because I adore his writing and the people I know don't know so much who he is.

I guess the most honest answer is Dan Brown like Kingman said his books are the same with little things changed.

Heavily over-rated:
-Stephanie Meyers, god, where did they find her?
- Dan Brown of course, concept is nice, but always the same and badly written.

can't think of any under-rated

Over:
Michael Chrichton
Under:
Didn't have one in mind but after reading the previous posts I must say Stephenie Meyer... Not that I think she is a brilliant writer or something but I've read worse and I actually enjoyed some of her books.
