I COULD NOT finish the A Series of Unfortunate Events series of books. After awhile, I got tired of reading essentially the same story every book. The three children have really crappy lives, and it is just full of crap. And the narrator of their lives is a little bit witty. That's pretty much it. I know these books are, or were, popular, but come on. There is such thing as plot overkill.

I never finished World War Z. It bored me completely...It wasn't written like a typical novel...more like non-fiction. I never could get into it and finally gave up which saddens me. I hate giving up on a book.

lol, the Sum of All Fears. I don't even remember what I've read in it, only that it's a few lines. now, I can't find the book anywhere. I'm currently struggling with River God but I think I will finish this one. The question is when. :)

I couldn't finish this series either! But that's because I can't find the whole set. :D Anyway, yeah... it's kind of repetitive.

I have started The Crimson Petal and the White three times and, each time, have put it down less than 200 pages later (it's 900+ pages). It's a very intriguing story and I really want to read it in its entirety. Maybe it just hurts my hands to hold it up for so long. :)

There are many books that I just read the first chapter of and if I am not interested by then I don't finish it. But after I go past chapter one I feel like I have to finish it.

I read that one and it took me forever! It got to the point where I was only able to take it one chapter at a time, but I did finish it.

The book I've never be able to finish is called To Dance with Kings. I don't remember the author, but I've attempted to read it two separate times and still don't know what happened in the end!

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I got to page 500, had to put it down for some reason, and just never picked it up again. It's good enough that I could certainly see why her fans love the series, but clearly it didn't grab me!

Office of Mercy by Ariel Djanikian. I though I'd like the book based on the premise, but got mad at it and stopped reading. Not because of any plot device, I just thought the characters were acting too stupid and unbelievably for their personality setups.
