I prefer both but mostly used, because they are cheaper than the new one.

I almost always buy my books new. I love the idea of wandering around in a used bookstore, but I never have any luck in those places. Very rarely have I ever found a book to purchase at one of these places.

I love reading but it can certainly get expensive. I buy both new and used books. When ordering books online through Amazon I always purchase new because I prefer to see the condition of the book I am purchasing. When looking for books for my children I usually browse the thrift stores for quality used books. My daughter is an avid reader and it's expensive to keep her stocked up with new books. I like to donate the books that she has decided that she won't ever read again to make room for her favourites.

I own a variety of both. I do prefer used books though. Used books have history to them and, this may sound strange, but a certain smell to them. I love getting older books from antique stores since the smell reminds me of my grandparents. As for newer books, I don't mind them being used. I actually enjoy reading the little notes that people write in the margins.

I have no preference. The cheaper the better because I can buy more for my money. I just like a good book.
Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.

I'm a cheapskate. I borrow or buy from the library. When my parents were still alive, they were kind enough to give me their Reader's Digest hand-me-downs.

Preloved. I love going to secondhand bookstores, rummage the shelves and piles of books that are cheap and sometimes rare.

I prefer preloved ones. I just love the idea that others have already read it and liked it. Plus, thwy are cheaper.

I like to buy books new when I can. I like to be the first one to crack the spine. If the book is expensive, I will try to buy it used or borrow from a library.

I buy both. If there's a book I know I'll reread or reference in the future, I buy new. But there's a book sale at a mall nearby several times a year that I go to just to pick up random used books.

I like both. Every book contains knowledge whether it's used or new.

I usually don't have a preference. If I'm interested in reading a book then I'll buy it as it is. Whenever I want to purchase a book from my favorite author, I'll typically buy it new to be supportive!

I normally would go for new books but I don't mind if in scarcity I can lay hands on used ones no problem.
