I read mostly from the library but when a book grips me I actually go out and buy a copy just for myself. I love Johanna Lindsey and Judith McNaught, romance authors. Then of course there's Lord of The Rings, Harry Potter, The Black Jewel and more recently Kim Harrison. There is of course many many more.

I used to love used book sales and preferred them to buying new books. With my e-reader now I don't buy hard copies as much any more but when I do I will try and find used ones before paying full retail.

I like buying my books used :) But I also love buying new books, then I get to know that I'll be the first person to leave my mark in it and it makes me wonder who will be next to use my book.

I do both. I have picked up several books from garage sales. I have also bought them at full price or at the dollar store. I am constantly on the lookout for new to me books.

I buy my books both used and new. It is really about the condition of the book for me. I don't like it to be marked in unless I knew the previous owner or it has an inscription. I love to wonder about who held the book before me. My favorites are the books with the rough cut edges.

I prefer used books since they are cheaper. I recently bought Fly A Little Higher by Laura Sobiech a few weeks ago, and that was the first time in awhile that I have bought a book new. If I don't buy a book used, I go to the library in case I don't like the book.

Both. But I love the mystery of used books, where has it been?

I buy both. I love he smell of new books but prefer the feel of used books. I have given used books as gifts, never got a complaint about it. As long as all the pages are present and legible i'll buy it.

Used books from amazon normally if I am unsure of the book or new is too expensive but generally I buy new.
