Honestly, most books about religion, specifically Christianity, I can't get into. They all seem to come across as VERY religious and I don't like feeling preached to when I'm reading a book for pleasure.
Mad Hatter: "Have I gone mad?"
Alice: "I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”

Generally, I haven't really been able to get into detective novels. I've tried multiple times. Maybe I just haven't found the right book or author yet, but so far, not a single mystery / detective novel has ever really captured my interest.

Sci-fi has always been hard for me to read, with a few exceptions. It's the same way with most classic novels.

Didn't realise romance was so unpopular :D I actually enjoy them when. they are good. I think most people on here are referring to young adult books (the ones which seem to be all about sex), which I kind of agree with. But there are some really beautiful love stories out there as well so I am not repelled by romance.
I do not like horror though. Never even read a horror book because I just know it would give me nightmares.

The genre or subject I can't bring myself to read is Sports. I'm not an athletic person or was ever interested in sports, with the exception of watching the Olympics, so I never was really thrilled to read about sports either. Also, I struggle with the plot of sports books. I find them cliché.

I can't stand horror. I like to read books that make me think or laugh or cry. Preferably not something that makes me scream. :D

Romance I hate those books. If any of books I read goes heavily in love and all that, I stop reading them.

I can't read non-fiction or something with a lot of religious or sports related content.
