I enjoyed the book as I like reading alternate stories of Christianity. I thought it was well written and it kept my attention.

Oh I loved it, I remember just taking it all at face value and not even caring about the exact historical truth of it all, because it was just such a fun and fast-paced read.

Wow the overwhelming positivity towards this book here is surprising... I thought it was mediocre.

Clearly a lot of thought and effort went into the puzzles and clue but character and plot wise... plain old boring. Seriously calling the main character a character is being generous; he lacks any memorable arc...

One of the best books I ever read. Dan Brown is clearly the best novel authors there is. Langdon is a magnificent character accompanied by the other great plot characters. I would absolutely re-read this novel a million times.

I have read The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and it is one of my favorite books so far. As you read it, you will not only like the fast paced story telling but also the morals you will learn from it. I highly recommend it.

I liked the book. It was intriguing and fast moving. A true page-turner. My primary criticism would be that some of the clues were a little obvious to me. The best books are the ones that keep me guessing all the way to the last page. But I'd definitely read this one again.

I liked it but do think it was over-rated. I much preferred Angels and Demons.

One of my favorite books of all time, I reread it and Angels and Demons almost every year. The suspense and the historical research are what appeal to me most. One of the few books I literally couldn't put down. I'd recommend the nonfiction Holy Grail, Holy Blood to anyone who loved the historical premise in the Da Vinci Code. It's the book that Dan Brown based it on, and is extremely well written and researched.

Wow! Reading other responses make me realise that how much more I should read to get such perspectives.
When I read the book, I simply enjoyed the suspense and the story and now I believe that I've just been a simpleton

I think it's fun as long as you don't think too much about it, I wouldn't critically analyze it. It's just semi-mindless entertainment really.
