Hi guys - new around these parts. Looking forward to being part of this community!

My inquiry is what it says on the tin - what's your best suggestion for a reading posture that could be, for lack of a better word, sustainable for the long term? I ask because I suffer from terrible occipital headaches, and am trying to eliminate sitting from my day as much as possible (I'm a professional cellist, so already spend 6+ hours a day sitting down). I'm particularly interested in postures that allow one to keep the shoulders back and down and the neck in a neutral position, not craning over. Thought I'd hit up the brain trust for this one!

Many thanks
Jules

I have a papasan chair that is lovely! I tuck my legs up into it and lean against it. It provides support in all the right places; with some comfy pillows and blankets, I can snuggle in it for hours!

For me, reading in bed is the most comfortable. I have my bed set just beside a window. I would sit leaning against the window and read for hours. At times, it let me look outside.
A joke is to entertain people. If it fails to do so, it's something else!

I usually read in bed, though I don't like it. I prefer to read on the couch in the living room, but there's always someone there.

Usually reclining and propped up on pillows. If I'm sitting outside, I like lots of comfy cushions.

We have a massive foam filled bag that I lay on to read. Super comfy and it forms to my body!

I love to lay on chest and read till I fall asleep. It's a very comfortable position where others are less likely to disturb me.
