I enjoy reading because it allows me to visit so many different worlds without ever leaving my house. Reading is a wonderful form of escape when reality gets too stressful for me.

Probably a common answer, but I like to be taken away from reality for a bit. Even a nonfiction book will take me out of my own reality. Its not so much running away from your own troubles, its more like running towards someone else's much more easily managed troubles. Its satisfying to read a fiction novel that takes you through a perfectly made web of events that all culminate into a beautifully crafted ending.

I love reading because it's a way of gaining exposure to different concepts and people's way of thinking.

I started reading when I was eleven years. I began with Nancy Drew series by Carolyn Keene and the mystery after mystery was exhilarating and I just could not stop. Reading made me busy and I learnt to speak and write English better.
Reading is really an amazing hobby. I really love it.

I love reading because it transports me to a new world. There's nothing better than sitting down with a book after a long day and escaping into someone else's life.

When I was younger, and I didn't have a good sense of my identity, I used to try to emulate the characters I would read about. Whether it was a brave warrior, or a snarky queen, or a witty assassin, I would try to act like the people I read about. I think a lot of who I turned out to be was a combination of the characters whose lives I followed.

Reading immerses me into a different dimension, time or place. I am able to travel from the comfort of my desk, couch or bed. It opens up my mind to more possibilities, ideas, theories etc. It is good for both my intellect and mental health. Depending on the book it is downright relaxing!

I read for many reasons but one of those reasons is to get a feel for someone else’s mind. There’s something so vulnerable—so undeniably raw—about listening to someone share their story and live their life in front of my eyes.
