Reading makes me virtually interact with like minded people,
I'd like to be a writer some day and reading gives me a lot of product knowledge on this,
I love it as a hobby.

I, so agree with her.sleepydumpling wrote:I read for two reasons...
1) To escape. I love being transported to another time or place. I love that feeling of seeing or doing or experiencing something different.
2) To see things from a different perspective. I love a book that makes me think and shows me things from other people's perspectives.
And mostly for number 2. I feel like i am the character i am reading. I can relate but at the same time, i just have to know how this character will cope up with their situations. Because sometimes, when we thought we had it all figured out, it just didn't.

It's the best way to relax after a stressful day. Not only that they educate me as well. I have learned a lot of things I wouldn't if i haven't been reading.

So there can be thousands of people that have literally read the same exact book but to each person it is unique. The way I image the characters look and act wont be the same as yours. Same with the setting, clothes, animals, and so on. What makes reading especially unique to each reader is the fact that books are adapted for us individually. If you are watching a movie or t.v. show we all see the same thing and quite frankly, it's pretty boring. While reading, a persons imagination has no limitations. My friends and family don't get why I always have my nose in a book. It's quite simple really. I have an imagination. When I recommend a book I love to someone, I know that they will see it in a completely different perspective as me whether they love the book or not. That's why I LOVE books. To each is their own. I'd love to hear some of your thoughts on this my fellow book lovers.

[*]Some people read as an habit
[*]Some people read to increase their knowledge.
[*]Some people read for leisure.
Really benefit of reading can't be expressed by words.
