This precisely describes why I love reading. During stressful conditions, a good book never fails to give me comfort and warmth.sleepydumpling wrote: ↑19 Aug 2007, 21:58 I read for two reasons...
1) To escape. I love being transported to another time or place. I love that feeling of seeing or doing or experiencing something different.
2) To see things from a different perspective. I love a book that makes me think and shows me things from other people's perspectives.

1) It helps me improve my language skill
2) It keeps me occupied for sometime
3) I can imagine things in my head while reading
4) It makes me to think that I have something to do when I literally do not have anything to do.
5) It helps me learn things
6) It helps me to see things from other perspective
7) Emotional fiction books let me vent out my tears/feelings which I have been holding on for so long.
To me sometimes, books really doesn't feel like books, It feel like a person to me, always being beside and can embrace whenever I want or need.
