I love the fact that when we are reading, our minds get to meditate together with the minds of great authors who took time to meditate upon writing books. It's the greatest learning experience which even the latest movies or technologies cannot provide.

Initially I didn't like reading, but after reading few books I was addicted to it. It became an escape, a distraction from problems. When I'm in a bad mood, I just start reading something and it makes me feel better.

I like reading because i spend most times at home doing nothing so to avoid stressing out i have adopted a tendency of reading romantic novels.Secondly i read because i have always been a fan of novels so its something which is not new to me..

Reading is one of those exercises that I have found to be therapeutic and informative. It is better to learn from the experiences of others without having to go through the challenges yourself.

1) To escape. I love being transported to another time or place. I love that feeling of seeing or doing or experiencing something different.

2) To see things from a different perspective. I love a book that makes me think and shows me things from other people's perspectives.
This precisely describes why I love reading. During stressful conditions, a good book never fails to give me comfort and warmth.

I like learning new things and seeing the world from a different perspective. I feel as if I have a larger worldview because of my passion for reading books. :)

I'm an escape artist who at first retreated to books to get away from reality. I no longer feel the need to escape reality and I now have a much healthier relationship with books. What can I say? I get lost in textual worlds that other people build. I love that it ignites my imagination no matter the genre. Books are to me what sunsets are to 'Death' from the Bookthief: a vacation for the mind.

I love reading. I love the escape from my normal life into a world of my choosing. I also have trouble processing auditory. I can read and process that information much faster.

I like reading because:
1) It helps me improve my language skill
2) It keeps me occupied for sometime
3) I can imagine things in my head while reading
4) It makes me to think that I have something to do when I literally do not have anything to do.
5) It helps me learn things
6) It helps me to see things from other perspective
7) Emotional fiction books let me vent out my tears/feelings which I have been holding on for so long.
8) To me sometimes, books really doesn't feel like books, It feel like a person to me, always being beside and can embrace whenever I want or need.
