I think the major reasons is that it allows me into my imagination :D, or perhaps I just love written words.

There are several reasons why I like reading. Sometimes, it is to keep myself informed and to gain knowledge. Sometimes, I read just for pleasure; to experience the beautiful play with words.
A joke is to entertain people. If it fails to do so, it's something else!

I like that there are no boundaries to what can happen and I love the way the scenes come to life in my head. I think in many ways you can know a character better or more intimately when you're in their head, following along word by word to their story rather than watching it play out on a screen. As many people have said, every genre also has its own mood and niche of interest.

I can't say I read all the time because I love reading, but I must read. So let me say; indirectly I love reading and directly I love to know new things. mostly in search for knowledge geared me to read. Though I read stories for fun sometimes.

My love of reading began at an early age; my favorite Christmas gift was a book. A book is a gift that lasts forever. Although, I read books on Kindle, I love to hold a book in my hands. Why do I like reading? I like to expand my knowledge and understanding about public and non-public people's life experiences, about travel and far away places and cultures. I read non-fiction books mostly but like classics such as Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, and Gone With The Wind.

I love reading mainly for entertainment. But also because I love learning about different times and places.

I love to read because it takes me away from my own everyday stresses. It's nice to go to a different reality every once in a while.

This might sound lame, but I love to read because I love stories. I just like to know things, and not necessarily a specific subject. Like at work when things are slow, I ask my coworkers to tell me stories.

I like to delve into someone else's imagination. I want to laugh and I want to be surprised. I want to hear about the clever way someone dealt with a situation. I like to pay attention to the specific way someone tells a story. You kind of get to see a part of a person's soul, just a little bit.

I mainly read inspirational material. I love reading as much as possible because it is soothing to me. When I'm sad, it lifts my spirits, gives me hope. I like fiction too. Hopefully this new book I started will hold my interest and I will get lost in the characters and environment. That would be nice.

I love how reading can allow you to escape the confines of your day to day lives yet also confront it, depending on the narrative in question. It’s also a great and relaxing pastime, e.g reading a good book on a rainy day while enjoying a nice hot cup of tea.

The reason why I love reading is because it is fascinating and takes me into a new world. I get to learn new things and new lesson. And it's fun to read.
