I just finished ready That One Person by Anna Farris. I would easily give it a perfect 4 out of 4 stars (based on OnlineBookClub's rating system). I was really moved by Anna's strong faith in good times and bad. This memoir of her life was absolutely worth the read. Her words have been relatable, impressive, distressing, but most of all inspirational.

I finished Rick Kid smart Kid by Robert Kiyosaki.
And I'd give it a 💯 out of a 100 because it's fantastic.
I'd honestly recommend it to young adults, parents, and people interested in financial independence or general money talk.
It's one heck of a book and I can't wait to read his other books!

The book I just finished was called A Life Without Water by Marge Bolden. The beginning was a bit slow for me but omg, I was wrong because it ended up being a great book.

Unknown Vengeance by Pat O'Brien
Rating: 4 out of 5
Genre: Mystery/thriller

It's not yet published. I got an ARC to review. Pat was a debut author, but his novel didn't seem like one. I enjoyed it.

The last book I read is Tortured in Ashram, by Prem Nambiar, of which I gave a rating of 3 out of 4.
The author particularly impressed me with his educative and informative book on microwave weapon assault by the perpetrators of the crime in Ashram.

Man's Search For Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl. It was a solid 10 out of 10. It is an autobiography of the author's time from the WWII German Concentration camps.

My most recent read is The Legacy of Job's Wife by Cynthia Koelker. I always passed it over on the last but finally decided to give it a try. The book has an interesting blend of Christian fiction and romance. I was not disappointed. The book gets a 10/10 from me.

How does it feel to read 5 books in 9 months when you’ve had a habit of reading 5 in a month? Sounds like a slump right?

That pretty much describes my situation. I haven’t picked any “Good book” in a while. Just casual reads because, well, lack of concentration.

So starting from the oldest to the most recent one:

5. The God of Small things by Arundhati Roy:
As far as the story line is concerned, you can always read it in reviews. I love how Arundhati Roy has described it from both the children’s PoVs. The writing style is such that it lives a long lasting impression on your mind. I still remember a lot of lines from the book, even without trying, because of use of repetition by her. This alone took me months to read it.

4. Everyone has a story by Savi Sharma:
Light hearted read, just what I wanted after Arundhati Roy’s book. Finished it in less than 2 hours.

3. Mrs Funnybones by Twinkle Khanna:
Unexpectedly, this book is quite humorous. Frankly, I quite enjoyed reading it.

2. Life is what you make it by Preeti Shenoy:
The way she goes into deep to explain Bipolar Disorder is commendable. I don’t know how much of that is true, although. The story line is cliche, but the concept is fresh.

1. Emma by Jane Austen:
It’s Jane Austen. Period

Special Mention: Because I’m trying to be funny.

Latest Review: Hallowed Ground by Cindy Ziperman

Post by Marie Blackwell »

I just finished reading Hallowed Ground by Cindy Ziperman and I gave it a 3 out of 4 stars. It was a really fascinating story to me tackling diverse topics such as the significance of the preservation of historic sites, the oligarchy power over smaller businesses and the acceptance of second chances in life. It contains some very graphic violence scenes and sexual content but definitely worth the read.
