The last book I read was "Tool of Titans" by Tim Ferriss. I would rate it 4/5. Not 5/5 because it has too much information for me to digest. :techie-studyingbrown:

"Happiness for Humans" by P.Z. Reizin, a sweet romantic comedy with a AI as a matchmaker. 3 stars out of 4!

The last book(s) I read were the Ruby Red trilogy by Kerstin Gier. Iconic books, it was my second time reading them. Completely loved them, got the first book for christmas and finished it in one day and immediately went to my local bookstore and bought the last 2 finishing in 2 days. Would highly recommend.

My Ladybug Story by Magus Tor 3/4

Poignant, compelling story about a young man’s journey of self-acceptance and love. Heartbreaking and depressing at times, but a great read.

I just finished Judy Blume’s most recent adult-themed novel, In The Unlikely Event. Great book! Very intense. Stays true to Judy Blume’s style of coming to age novels, a bit more mature and designed for adult readers. It is set in the early 50s for a large majority of the book then cuts to 35 years later for the last few chapters. I’d give it 4/5 stars.

Dodging Satan. I give it 3 of 4.

I absolutely love Bridgett. Some of the ideas she gets about the conflicting messages within her environment as a whole had me laughing myself out of the chair. Especially when she thought God was in her father's slippers.

Reading Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra was a challenge and very much a mixed bag in terms of my enjoyment and appreciation of it.

For a start, it was just too long and I was ready to give up halfway, but pressed on regardless! I was rewarded for my persistence, because I actually enjoyed the final third of the novel better than most of what came before that.

For a time, it seemed as if I was reading a comic novel, like watching many modern comedy films, where the same joke was repeated over and over again.

In the latter part of the novel, which I enjoyed the most, the genuine humanity of Quixote and Panza was emphasized more by the author, and it became easier to develop genuine affection and goodwill towards our hapless heroes, while feeling increasing displeasure at those who mocked them and their honorable intentions for their own amusement.

I had been ready to really can this novel as being too long, too repetitious and just too ludicrous, but it grew on me somewhat and I'm glad I stuck with it to the very end. But I can understand that many who have attempted this 17th century classic might have given up well and truly before that.

I was torn between giving it 3 or 4 stars, and decided it was at least closer to 4.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
