Many times. I become so invested in the characters that I find myself wanting to scream at some of them, "No, why would you do that!" as though they were alive!

Yea I have because sometimes I just feel like their role isn't necessary for the book and some characters don't just fit in

There are few book which are very emotionally touching. Some of the characters provide a huge impact that may make you feel back.
