How long have you spent reading without taking a break?

Post by ebethina »

What is the longest you have gone without taking a break from reading a really good book? The longest I have gone is for almost one day. I even ignored my other half. I don't even think I stopped to get something to eat for meals.

After getting Harry Potter 6 I just sat down and read it for something like 10, 12 hours. Was something like 4:00 or 5:00 am when I finally stopped and went to bed. So far I haven't broken that record.

The longest stretch to date for me was 16 hours. I haven't been able to do that in quite awhile now.

The longest for me was probably around 6 hours, I eventually got really hungry so I had to stop and go get food.

I usually spend 8 to 9 hours.....it could count as a day if you don't mind the time I spend eating and doing a little this and that...I usually do this at the climax of a good fiction.

I spent an entire day reading the final Harry Potter with only a few short breaks for eating and going to the washroom.

The longest I've gone was about 8 hours. I sat down to read White Lines by Tracy Brown and the next thing I knew, it was 8 pm and I was really hungry! I hadn't realized how much time had passed until I finished the book.

Without discounting the time I took to ease myself within that time, it took me about 12 hours.

I'd say about 11 hours. I've done it a few times, except one time I took a 10-minute lunch break.

I was the same with The Goblet of Fire. I woke up in the morning and started reading. Didn’t stop reading until 3 or 4am. That’s my longest marathon.

I once started a book I had to read for class the night before it was due. I started at like 8pm or so and finished at like 5 in the morning.

I read non stop for seven hours once. The book was scary and I didn't want to put it down without knowing how it ended.

I am usually a fast reader and I lıke to finish my books in one or two settings. My longest set was 6 hours for finishing a very good novel.
