How Interesting would life be without Books?

I sometimes wonder if life would be bored if there were no books or no authors to write books. Kudos to authors for writing wonderful books to keep our world interesting.

I think everybody has a hobby that keeps him/her entertained. Since one of my favorite pastime is reading books, if I had no books to read, my life would be monotonous. Thanks God there are books with different genres, topics, sizes, styles, and so on.

Exactly Kalin Adi, everybody has a hobby, I just can't imagine a life without book. Reading is my number one hobby.

I really can't imagine a world without books, I also will happily give up net, touched screen phones for books. It has always been and will always be my number one hobby.

It's seems unimaginable to me. Books are my life. I suppose if it were to happen, I would have picked up some other hobby to obsess over. Not sure what it would be.

There'd be nothing. Unless you've got a great memory, then you could keep information in your head. Books are a source of information so I think without, them, life will feel dull

Speaking to something that isn't just about reading books for personal enjoyment, but we would be horribly behind in the progress of a lot of things if there were no books. A great many accomplishments we've managed would never have happened. Imagine science progressing without books to help it along? Imagine all those doctors who would have to learn solely by the word of other doctors. Medical, scientific, and technological advances would all be harder and harder to come by. Likely, we'd be living in a very undeveloped world.

That would mean no reading AND no writing? Or would everything ever written just disappear if it got to the length of a story? Or we wouldn't even have letters? It kind of triggered an avalanche of horrible ideas for me.

I'd give life without books a 2 out of 10. I think books connect people across communities and time. They also relieve stress and enable readers to experience situations they would otherwise never had the privilege to experience.
