Yep, sometimes it's hard to put a book down, and many times I've fell asleep reading!

Happened far too many times to count. The most recent was McDowell by William Coles, quite a bit of coffee imbibed the following day to compensate.

Oh yes. This was definitely more of a problem for me as a child (age 5-10) because now I am so exhausted at the end of the night it is difficult to stay awake and read, but I still definitely lose sleep over books sometimes.

I don't think I've stayed up the entire night reading, but definitely for an extra 2-3 hours. Usually I get to the point where my eyes feel so heavy I physically can't read anymore and give in,
Same with me, when it comes to reading books, my discipline disappear, 'just 1 more chapter' never stops.

I've done this a lot! I can't go to sleep without know what happens to the characters, especially if I am at a really good part when it is bedtime. There have been several sleepy days for me because of a book!

Yes. I concentrate better when reading a book at night, for some reason. Maybe because it's more quiet? Sometimes a book is just too good, that you end up reading all throughout the night and the next thing you know, the sun is already up and there's no time for sleep.

Yes, "one more chapter" usually ends up being more. As long as a chapter keeps me hanging I won't be able to stop. I have to know what happens next!

No. I have never stay up a whole night for a book.

I missed 2 nights sleep reading Stephen King's The Stand. It was weird - everywhere I went it seemed like I was in the book living the last days of the world. Hum...could have been the lack of sleep? :shifty:

Yes. Honestly if someone is willing to spend a whole precious night up to read a book, that book is most definitely something special.
It's the best feeling. You're tired, but you can't get enough.

Oh my yes! Also, I used to read in the bathtub and my water would get cold. So, I would drain it and fill it back up three or four times. Sometimes I would be so engrossed in the book I wouldn't even notice that the water got ice cold.

HAHA! I've done that before! I get so engrossed in the world of the books I read (the good ones anyway).

Never a full night of sleep... but yes I sometimes stopped reading at earlier hours in the morning, with only 3 hours to sleep before having to get up to go to bed... but if the book is great it is worth it :)
