I have read to the kids but I really like it when they want to read to me their newly found favorites or some of their own original stories. (I like drawing so I always try to bring along a notebook, spare markers or pencils (not going to sacrifice the prismas) and inevitably drawing leads to mini-book making!)
Sometimes to get out of reading I say that they read the story better. Or we do an alternate ending bit if it's been the same book more than a few (10) times. Almost always works.
