How much time do you spend reading a book?

Post by Kiisme »

It really depends if the book is really good I will lose sleep just to get to the end. So I try not to start reading a book if I don't have any time. Other wise during commute I spend an average of about two hours reading it might be less base on traffic.

It varies a lot from day to day and week to week, but off-hand I'd say I spend at least an hour a day reading most weekday evenings, and on weekend i can read up to 4hrs or 3

Varies too but I just find my spare time and mood to determine it. If the book is good, I'll read it nonstop usually at night time up to my bedtime or later. If it's bad, small doses across several days.
Hi all. I like board games, card games, video games, books (especially children's books and mysteries), stories, cartoons, anime, manga, light novels, animation, and other light-hearted, fun things. Feel free to message if you want to chat!

It varies for me. Sometimes a day or two, sometimes a week.

It can be from a day to several days, depending on other tasks. I read the most while commuting to work as well as from Friday afternoon to Sunday so that's when a book gets read pretty fast. Sometimes if it's good, I kind of put off reading it to the end because I don't want it to finish so soon.

The duration of time spent reading a book depends on two major factors: (1) is the book interesting or (2) is the book boring. If a book is boring, i can take even a month to go through it. if it is interesting, i can take 2-14 days depending on the size of the book and the font. For a novella, the maximum i can take is 3 days.

Well.. it depends on the book. When the book so captivating, I can't put it down and finished it less than a day.... I forgot everything. If the book boring, I just skimmed it and finished it also less than a day too (shorter than the captivating one). Or I delayed finishing the book and some times never finish it. I put the book deep inside my drawer and found it when I clean my desk.

I've been a stay at home mom since my daughter was born 9months ago so I've had plenty of time to read! I go through about a book every one or two days and my husband HATES it. He claims we are going to go broke just on books. I tell him that's my SAHM salary!

When I start a book and find it interesting , I keep reading it desperately until it ends , I don't bother to give attention to clock .

Depends on the length of the book and how good it is. If a book is boring or poorly written I usually just skip the pages and I get to finish in a few hours but a good book with a considerable length takes a few days. I like to read books much faster so I make sure it doesn't get to a week

I usually read a book a day on average...300 - 400 pages. If the book is really long or involved it may take me 2 or 3 days, but never more than that.
