If its an awful book that I no longer want then yes. I dont want a book that I dislike taking up the space of books I actually like.

No!! And I haven't thought about giving them in exchange for money!! The only way I'd give my books away was gifting it or trading it for a new book with just my friends.

I sold my college textbooks so I could use that money to buy textbooks for the new semester. I had a lot of regular books for all of my English/literature classes, and I kept all of those for my personal collection.

Other than that, I would never sell a book. Once a book is in my personal collection, it's with me forever.

Not specifically for making money but to get rid of old stuff including old books, I have sold them to guys who buy old newspapers, books and other household items at throwaway prices.Otherwise I have given away books.

I sell my textbooks whenever I can. I usually don't sell other books because I like to collect them. However, I have thought about it because money does get tight and I have a ton I could sell. That will still leave me sad though because it's like a piece of me is gone. Maybe that's why I haven't sold any regular books yet...I just can't make up my mind.

I don't usually sell my books. If I need money I just work. My books are too sentimental too me, it's like giving away a puppy.

I sell or give books away sometimes. It depends on if they're starting to pile up. I keep the books/series I really care for though because I may reread them at some point.

I have sold my college text books that were not related to my field and I have gone to the local used book store to trade in books that I either didn't truly enjoy or knew I would never read again for new books. But most of my books I keep!
