I have cried reading a lot of books especially with stories like the Titanic.
When the characters of the books were suffering, I was suffering with them as well.

I'm going to tell you a secret.

I am a really emotionally detached person. I just don't feel emotions very strongly. Therefore, I rarely, RARELY cry over books or movies.

The last book in The Mortal Instruments made me cry. Legitimately cry.

It was near the end of the book and the antagonist died. Yes, the antagonist who was portrayed as this horrible, half-demon with no soul. All this character wanted was to be accepted for the sick, horrible person that he was. He just wanted his sister to love him. And do you know how he died? His freaking sister pretended to essentially accept him (I will admit that the situation was pretty effed up) and then betrayed him by stabbing him with some kind of heavenly sword.

It just triggered me.

I remember when I was very young crying over the book, Sasha, My Friend by Barbara Corcoran. It might even be the first book I got emotional over. As an adult I used to cry reading Eugenia Price books which were historically based romances. Now I cry when I read most any Jan Karon book. I believe I'm a sopping mess. :) I am amazed, however, how a writer and take us on an emotional ride in a book. I'm not crazy about crying, but when I'm reading and I've cried I always manage to say "Now that was a good book"!

The very first book I absolutely balled my eyes out was for the series, Fractured, by Elle Charles. The first chapter alone already had me put the book down and cry!

Second book I downright cried for was the series, The Girl in the Box, by Robert J. Crane. The drama within those books required so much emotional stamina.

Books that have made me cry, there are several but only a few that hit me so deep that I felt that sadness for days after.
738 Days by Stacey Kade.
Unspeakable by Michelle K Pickett.
First Life then Death by Angelina Krafft.
Tied by Carian Cole.
