I think that is the mark of a good book. If it can make you cry or laugh out loud or scream or throw it against the wall, if it can make you really feel something true, then it is a good book in my book!

The last book that made me cry was "What the River Wants" by Arthur Byrd. Not a very well known book, but definitely an emotional one!

It's a bit awkward yet I might as well have to admit that some portions of my current book ("Trip to Adele") just made me shed some tears last night. The stories of love lost and found as well as of despair and hope, among others, really touched my heart. The good choice of words and the poetry-like rhythm of the texts also helped build up the emotional reactions evoked by the well-translated work.

One Day by David Nicholls.

I cry easily with movies but never, ever shed a tear with books...except for this one. The ending tears me apart!

I'm a big fan of the author, Sherrilyn Kenyon . She writes some of the best stories in urban fantasy. Born of Night Born of Legend, Styxx, and Acheron were heartbreaking.

The one book that made me cry was the book by China Achebe,“Things fall apart". Telling the story of Nigeria's past and the colonial and precolonial era. I laid emphasis on a man by name Okonkwo who was the tiger of his community. The introduction of a new way of life seemed alien to the people of that community and Okonkwo would not have his fame and culture tarnished by,“foreign Gods". I love every inch of the book and recommend it to whosoever hasn't read it.

So many I've lost count. But The Fault In Our Stars by John Green and Archer's voice by Mia Sheridan are loves! I also read unpublished manuscripts and some of them are absolute jewels.
