As an animal lover, I laughed until I cried and the cried bittersweet tears.
No pet owner can NOT cry and the passing of a beloved pet. However, even going in to this story knowing the end, it is one of my favorites.
So many memories came flooding back to me and I defy the most macho of us not to cry, but I promise, it’s a good cry.

Interesting. I read most of the House of Night series, but I don't remember crying at all. I can understand throwing a book, though. I've done that myself, lol.maggiechap wrote: ↑21 Mar 2018, 17:29 Last book I cried at was the House of Night series by P.C. and Kristin Cast, several of the different books when one or two characters died- like hard, angry tears I actually threw one of the books against a wall. And It's not necessarily a book, but I read the Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them script and teared at the end.

There was a really sad part in my most recent read, Pancake Money, but I didn't cry. Then again, I don't cry but maybe once a year in real life, either. Is that bad?

Haha, a lot of people say that. But if I remember correctly, I did stay up all night reading it, so I'd been up over 24 hours. Maybe it was that. But Stevie Rae was my favorite character and so was Jack, I got absolutely furious with Stevie Rae's death-hence the book throwing- and didn't want to finish the book.. I cried for both of them and even shed a tear in the way Zoe's mother died. I just found P.C.'s ability to write those scenes incredibly powerful. And that isn't the only one either. Her adult series has brought me to tears on several occasions.
