Don't judge me but every time something even moderately bad or really good happens to the main character I'm bawling for the next hour attempting to read through the tears.Especially when the author kills off the most innocent animals in the story.

Overall though I think that the books I wept the most were, Allegiant, Spud and pretty much every story on wattpad that was about terrible things like abuse and self harm.

I feel like YA books are more likely to make me cry than adult books. I will always cry over Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. It's the close of the book that gets me.

Great choices, worthy of tears! Love these two.

It's been a while, actually, since the last book that made me cry. I believe I read it a year and a half ago. Me Before You by JoJo Moyes. I was a bawling mess, honestly.

The very first novel which welled up my eyes was “Goodbye Mr chips” by James Hilton. It was the last page of the novel when Mr chips was in his death bed and the flashback of his entire life was reeling through his head. The writing style was so appealing and impactful that it made me feel really close to death.

The first book I cried on was a child called It. The way his parents treated this child was heartbreaking, no child deserves this. The second book and last book I cried at was a walk to remember. The love he had for her and then she ends up dying is so sad.

Just over Christmas break I read Bridge to Terabithia, by Katherine Paterson, with my 12-year-old son. He was fine. But I was in tears.

Most recently, Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo made me cry. Usually if a book is able to make me cry, it means that I'm completely attached to the characters and that I loved the book. Which in this case is definitely true.

After I finished "Gone With the Wind", I threw the book across the room and bawled. I felt so bad for Scarlet. Granted, Scarlet was a challenging heroine to like. But after all she went through and how much she grew as a character throughout the story, I really felt she deserved better than she got.
