I cried at Native son(Richard Wright) Death of a Sales Man(Arthur Miller), almost cried at Heart of Darkness(Joseph Conrad). These tragedies captivated my heart as I saw truly, the frailty of humanity in them.

The last book that made me cry was "Holding Up the Universe" by Jennifer Niven. But if there has been a book that really made me bawl my eyes out, it was "The Mayor of Casterbridge" by Thomas Hardy.

Yes. Flowers for Algernon. It was in my language arts class. I was bawling my eyes out quietly and my desk was all salty. It was gross but was a heartfelt cry lol... READ IT

My goodness, I've cried at far too many books to name them all (probably because I'm so damned emotional). But i can recall the very first book I cried at, I was fifteen and the book in question was called the Knife of Never Letting Go. When the protagonist Todd's dog Manchee died I was absolutely inconsolable.

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Husseini stands out. I cried my heart out over this one. I did not just read the book; I lived it.

I remember the first book that made me cry. Angela's Ashes. Good lord, I sobbed through that book. It still remains a favorite of mine.

One that makes me cry every time I read it is Misstress of the Empire by Raymond E. Feist. When her son dies in the first chapter after all he had been through in the other 2 books I just bawled my eyes out.

I also cried when I read a few of the Harry Potter books as well. It’s a mark of a great author that can get you so invested in the characters that you become emotional.

I was a young girl and one night, as I read a book, I felt tears running down my cheeks. Dumbledore was dead. That was the first time I found myself so completely engrossed in a book.

The Harry Potter series has a lot of moments where you could find yourself welling up. Rowling has crafted her characters so well that they are relatable and close to your heart. Every character has a unique personality and traits that you can admire and fall in love with. I cried my heart out when Dobby died. I still do. :(

A lot of the books in the Harry Potter series made me bawl like a baby. I found myself so invested in the stories and nothing has made me cry harder than the last book.

Additionally, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green had me crying for the last 10 or so pages in the book. The movie was no exception to that as well.
