Dying Well. The book followed a man with terminal cancer and it was uplifting and heartbreaking. I bawled at the end.

Mention to us what books have made them bellow like a child. As far as I might be concerned, the just a single I can consider is A Little Life. by Hanya Yanagihara.

Oh, there are so many!! The most recent one is "Eat, pray, love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. I identified with the central character on so many levels! And it made me think "Wow, how could she know exactly what I'm feeling?!!". It made all the raw emotions surface up and flow through the eyes, like waterfalls!

Silence by Natasha Preston had me crying like a newborn baby. You would have thought that I was Oakley and her tragedy was happening to me. Come to think of it I cried reading the second book in the series Broken Silence. Well worth an ugly cry.

I cried for the first time over a book, when I read 'All the Bright Places'.

The first book to ever break my heart as a child was Anne of Green Gables. Being a glutton for punishment I quickly turned to Little Women for comfort only to find more tears!

Allegiant by Veronica Roth. I stayed up nearly half the night crying because of this book.

Every year I reread The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. I’m on year 5 or so and I still ugly cry everytime. However, it’s a very therapeutic cry.

I don't think I've ever cried from reading a book. I cry a lot in movies though! Writing some of these titles down from other posts. Would love to read a good crying book!

The latest one was This is going to hurt by Adam Kay. A nonfiction book when he tells his life as a doctor and why he quit that career. I was bawling by the end. It was sad but it was more because it hit me personally. Another recent book is The house in the Cerulean sea but that were happy tears.

I have not cried in any of the books I've read, but I have gotten emotional before.

Unfortunetly one of the first books I remember that made me cry was an obligatory book at school:
The Paul Street Boys by Ferenc Molnár. I think we had to read it before we coould really understand what's all about...
