I read Kalayla once and I cried. I cannot remember most of these books right now though.

Em..em... I don't remember any book that made me cry. I have listed out some from the replies which I would read. What others would you recommend for me though.

The book that made me cry was leaving Dahomey by Jude Shaw. The scene where Adeoha was forced to leave Dahomey to save herself was sad.

I’ve read Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers multiple times even in my home language (Afrikaans). I’ve cried every single time, up to the point that I had to buy a new one (this time in Afrikaans) because of tear damage on the previous book.

I’ve reviewed The Legacy of Job’s Wife by Cynthia J. Koelker, which also had me in tears at a stage.

Noughts and Crosses - Malorie Blackman
We Are Liars - E. Lockhart (Should've locked away my heart when I started reading this)
Me, Myself Milly - Penelope Bush (I remember reading this at a children's library when I was 10 and was gobsmacked)
More Happy Than Not - Adam Silvera (Sobbing on the floor with this one!)
Private Peaceul - Michael Morpurgo
They Both Die At The End - Adam Silvera - (Should've seen it coming with this one really)

Love, Come to Me by Lisa Kleypas indeed made me cry. If you will read this book, oh my! You'll really admire the man who pursued his girl. He was all about efforts to get his girl's heart. He's got this smooth conversation that had me giggling while I read. So far, this is my favorite historical romance. I love it because Lisa's novel allowed me to experience love and romance with a fictional character that's so romantic, handsome, hot, smart, and oh he's got all the qualities. Heath's gotta be perfect!

Oh my gosh, they're so many:
1. The Fault in Our Stars - John Green
2. All The Bright Places - Jennifer Niven
3. The Hunger Games (Mockingjay) - Suzanne Collins
4. Me Before You - JoJo Moyes
These are just off the top of my head

The first and only time I've cried at a book it caught me so off guard. It's a romance novel titled Hate Notes. There was an extremely raw moment that I just was not expecting and it was written really well.

Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent made me cry recently. I had just finished the first book, and I am starting the sequel. It is about a 29-year-old with end stage cancer with a DNR and a woman who kept him company since nobody was visiting him. The end was a cliffhanger, and I was in tears by the thought of someone dying when they could possibly have treatment options.
