As a language model, I do not have emotions or the ability to cry. However, there are many books that have been known to make readers cry, such as "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green, "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, and "A Monster Calls" by Patrick Ness. To know more lets discuss at Nipani LGSF Companies in India.

This is so strange, I honestly don't know if anyone cried reading this particular book but I was so invested in it emotionally, I cried, a lot. The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice. I felt all the emotions of the characters, and cared so deeply for them I did actually cry.

Oh God! How much I cried during and after reading this book!
This incident is about 15 years old and the book I am talking about is "Bitter Chocolate" by Pinki Virani. It's about child sexual abuse in India and was published by Penguin Books in 2000.
The author did an amazing job at documenting narratives and testimonies of police, doctors, parents, and others about true incidents of child sexual abuse. I literally got goosebumps while reading this. And it made me cry so much. It was and is so painful thinking about the ordeal so many children have to go through. I will never forget it. I recommend reading it to everyone.

I know this is cliche, but I cried over "The Fault in our Stars" by John Greene.

A book that made me cry: I am David by Anne Holm- it is about a young boy who escaped Nazi Germany. We read that at primary school, and the story has stayed with me. I even remember the teacher crying while we went through the passages. Real tear jerker, and yet not explicitly violent or graphic even. It is the characters eyes, a child who has just seen so much.... I gave a copy to my young niece to read just this past month.

Shades by Marguerite Poland
We actually studied this book in final year high-school. It expresses brotherhood while set in apartheid South Africa. It is a story about a group of friends torn apart; the young black South African kids have been taken away from their home to go and work in the mines, and their friend a young white South African kid who goes to find where his friends are. So absolutely tragic...

Disclaimer: FYI - I am South African. No racial slurs are meant in the above explanation. This is how we say things with regards to race.

I don’t remember crying on a fiction book but definitely have in WW1/2 memoirs. The Last Fighting Tommy I read when I was 15/16 and it absolutely wrecked me reading about boys barely older than me and how they were living/dying.
We've longed to see the roses, but never felt the thorns
And bought our pretty crowns, but never paid the price
Find me in the river, find me there
Find me on my knees with my soul laid bare

Actually on reflection there are 2 fiction books that got me - both Star Wars books, when Chewbacca dies and Mara Jade. I had some idea of expectation that they would die and it took me completely by surprise. Both were two of my favourite characters.

The first book I recall making me cry (as a 13-year-old) was "Lord of the Flies". I still feel emotional when I think about that book from time to time.

Like many have said, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows made me cry. It was the first book I remember crying about.
Recently, I cried after reading The Remains of the Day.

My most recent tear-jerk was due to the book Entanglement - Quantum and Otherwise by John K Danenbarger. This is available to read for review here on OBC.
