The first was the end of the Legend trilogy by Marie lu.
The other was the end of the circle trilogy. The Circle Complete (The Circle, #3) by K. M. Montemayor. It was even the story which made me sad with this one. It was the darned cat right at the end.

I cry for a lot of emotional books; I think the latest was The Sentinels of Andersonville by Tracy Groot. I wasn't bawling, but at least tears came to my eyes. Very sad/shocking but excellent read.

While the sad parts of some books do effect me, I've never experienced it strongly enough to cry. In fact, I would say it makes me feel bittersweet.

How many times did I weep over Heidi's homesickness when I was small? A few dozen, I suppose ––and now I don't even admire that book; it's preachy and manipulative.

It's perfectly ok to write garbage, as long as you edit brilliantly.
