For me right now and it has been going on for about 3-4 weeks.

I typically only have those when I am ill or there are major stressors in my life that cause me to not be able to focus.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

Last week was a bit of a slump for me-- barely read a page all week. I just couldn't focus.

I'm in a different kind of reading "slump" lately, though. I haven't read a book that really grabbed me in months! I've tried all genres, but everything falls flat. I may have to change my reading habits or revisit some old favorites.

I had one about a month ago. I couldn't seem to get in to anything I was reading. I stumbled across Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris, and that totally got me out of my slump! Highly recommended from me!

For a while up until recently. I'm not reading as much as I'd like to, but I am reading more than I was a couple of months ago. Sometimes I have stuff on my mind that makes it hard to actually concentrate on reading for any length of time. Good luck! Hope your slump ends soon.

Yes I have had those, but they don't last long. Usually its because I am in the mood for something different, but don't know what. It takes me a few days to get over it. Good luck on getting out of your slump.

A few years ago an injury caused me to develop a severely debilitating condition that has left me physically handicapped with extremely high pain levels. For a couple of years I could not see passed the pain in order to concentrate on a book. I would just keep having to re-read paragraphs until I would give up. But after years with this I have learned how to change my perception of pain and have not only started reading again, in force, but have published my first novel.
Getting to this place wasn't easy, but I can say it was worth it.

I'm also in a bit of a slump... I think I'm a little depressed that I can't just go to the bookstore and find an English book. I want a physical book I can curl up with! I'm getting so sick of my Kindle...

I always get into a reading slump after I've read a book that I really really loved. It's always so hard to find something that can replace the feeling that a certain book gives you!

I was in an incredibly long reading slump from 2011-14. It wasn't for lack of trying. I would buy books and rarely finished any of them. It was very distressing because reading had always been my go to for entertainment and escape. One good thing which happened during that period is I have an immense number of books stored on my kindle and the cloud.

I seem to encounter these more often after finishing a good book and don't know what to read next.

The summer of 2015...all kinds of crazy stuff going on in my life at the time and I couldn't concentrate to save my life. It lasted for about 6 months...the worst 6 months of my life!
