Iv'e just finished reading 'Holes' by Louis Sachar. I love books which have been made into movies because you can watch the movie after but no matter what the book will always be better than the movie

I've just started reading My trip to Adele. I would be lying if i say it's only just amazing because it's more than amazing. Loved its concept, stories, thoughts of the author.
A must read.

I am currently reading Diary of a Snoopy Cat (to review) and The Blood Forest: Book Three in the Tree of Ages Series by Sara C Roethle (for pleasure). The first book in the latter had me wavering between boredom and intrigue, but book 2 has been great.

"Enchanted" by Alethea Kontis, and the Pentemarone (very old Arthurian and other stories, including the original "Sleeping Beauty").

'The Silver Star' by Jeanette Walls - plainly at least quasi-autobiographical, about two teenage sisters growing up in Virginia with their eccentric uncle in the 1970s. It's extremely well-written and I particularly liked the voice of the narrator 'Bean'. It touches on very serious subjects such as racial prejudice and sexual abuse, but is also very funny and evocative of time and place. It would appeal to both adults and young adults (though with that proviso about some sensitive subject matter). Bean also shares my liking for chicken pot pies! A definite 4 stars.

I am reading 'The Abduction' by Jonathan Holt, it's the second book in the Carnivia trilogy, thrillers set in modern day Venice and I think they'd appeal to people who love 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'.

After about 6 years of on and off reading, I have finally committed to finishing the Sword of Truth series. Don't misinterpret my timeline, I do love the series and SO many things about it. I just flaked, got distracted by other books and kept forgetting to finish.

So, in response, I am currently on the FINAL of Goodkind's epic, Confessor, and it's fantastic. I've really loved the entire chainfire idea in these last 3 of the books.

I just finished Station Eleven, my first in the "post apocalyptic" type of genre. I loved it! I truly couldn't put it down. I may have to see what else I like in that type of story.

I am currently reading "Phoenix One" by Chase McLeod. I just barely started reading, so I cannot really say much about it. However, the plot looks promising.
