I'm reading Turn Right at Machu Picchu. It's a great account of the author's experience hiking in Machu Picchu.

Starting two new books. On kindle, The Subtle Knife, the second installment of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials.

By the bedside, Snow by Orhan Pamuk.

I'm currently reading The Manticore by Robertson Davies, it's such an interesting read.
it takes you on the protagonists' journey of self-realization in the most insightful way, while also helping you examine yourself and your thought process.

Hello all!!

I am new to this online book club. I saw this thread and I had to post about a book I just read.
I just finished Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco a new and upcoming author. It is a young adult book but it is about Jack the Ripper and an awesome heroine that solves the case even though no one knows who he really was. It was a fantastic read and accurate with the details even though the author did change some dates around. I have always been intrigued by the Ripper case and I love historical pieces. I ordered the next one in the series called Hunting Prince Dracula. Cannot wait for it to arrive!! :D

I just became a member of this site a few weeks ago, so right now my reading is concentrated on the books I can review. Right now I’m reading (to review) “Roadmap to the End of Days.” As a student of the Bible and a Christian I’m interested to see the authors take on the subject.

I recently read The English Wife by Lauren Willig and it was fantastic! It is set in the 1890s and follows a young couple who meet and fall in love despite having different backgrounds that were not socially accepted as a "good match" and all the family drama surrounding their decision to marry. It then turns into a mystery as the couple is found dead at a party they threw for their socialite friends & family. I totally got sucked into their world!
Currently I'm reading Fire & Fury by Michael Wolff, and listening to Pride and Prejudice narrated by Rosamund Pike. Quite a difference in the two, but as to your point, the combo of the two is something to learn from and something fun!

I am now reading 'The Traitor' by Jonathan Holt, it's the concluding chapter of the Carnivia Trilogy and I highly recommend them, for those who loved 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'.
