I am reading The Case of the Left-Handed Lady by Nancy Springer with my daughter and The Daughter of Highland Hall by Carrie Turansky. They both seem very interesting.
My daughter and I like Sherlock Holmes and watched the movie for the first book in the series. I figured if I read with her she would be more interested in reading. So far so good.
The Daughter of Highland Hall is good as well. I love historical fiction and read the first book in the series The Governess of Highland Hall. It’s something about historical fiction that draws me in and make me want to continue reading despite what else I have going on.

I'm about to tackle The Second World War by Antony Beevor, which is a little shy of 1000 pages. I've read a lot of stuff about WWII over the years, but never a comprehensive volume that puts it all together in a chronological sequence.

I just finished reading Fake Accounts by Lauren Oyler.

This is not really my kind of book. It's a Meta fiction novel and a monologue. There is no dialogue nor character development. The book takes place in New York and Berlin and the main character is addicted to social media.

I didn't really understand the meaning of the final sentence of this book, uttered by the character Felix. If anyone had read this novel and understood the ending please share here.

Thank you,

Gazoo

I am about to start reading "The Desolations of Devil's Acre", by Ransom Riggs.

This book is definitely thicker than the other books in the Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series, so will keep me busy for a while. 🙂

The Humbling by Philip Roth. I didn't read any synopsis, so I had no expectations. I love how relatable it is.
I May reread it later.

Hi guys, I just finished reading the Mindset by Ace Bowers. It’s an inspirational memoir but not the regular cliche kind. It’s very interesting and I was just mesmerized by it. I gave it 4 out 4 stars because it deserved it and more.

I am reading a great book called Perspectives on the Past. It tells the story of how average citizens use and study history. It is a great book but the print is very small and so the pace is very slow going.

I just finished reading Into the Dark by Claudia Gray, which was pretty good, and am about to start Shadow Fall by Alexander Freed. Both of them are Star Wars books.
