I have started The Melancholy of Resistance by Hungarian writer Laszlo Krasznahorkai, which has me fascinated from page 1.

Also about to start (finally, I've wanting to get to this for ages) Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

:D I'm currently reading David & Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell.

As usual his works are always deeply researched and he always has a true story to illustrate his insightful points.

The book has taken away my boundaries and placed me in a state where I seek out the advantages in every seeming disadvantage. :tiphat:

Mythic worlds and the ones you can believe in by Harold Toliver. Google books describes this book as combining philosophy, science and literature. Great, anyone can combine what they like, what is important is how it comes out.
Watch out for my review in the next few days to know. Thanks.

I am also reading One Way or Another by Mary J. Williams. I’m not enjoying it as much as I thought I would; hopefully, it will get better!

Hi, I am reading, Miss Mabel's School For Girls, by Katie Cross. It is part of The Network Series. It is a collection of stories that I believe I will be interested in completing much the same as I was with the celebrated, Harry Potter series. As a matter of fact, the school, albeit it rather more intense, is very much like Harry's school as it deals with magic, potions, and hexes.
I would recommend this book to anyone over the age of 13 as some of the vocabularies could be daunting. The storyline is one that a reader at the edge of one's seat. So far it is a winner.

Reading The Alchemist last month I was continually reminded of The Little Prince. I'm baffled by this because I read TLP when I was five years old and remember none of it. So today I dug up a raggedy, yellow-papered copy and cracked it open.

Just finished ‘Oh my god what a complete Aisling’ and ‘There are no grown ups’ by Pamela Druckerman. Two really different books but great.
The Aisling book reminded me of a cross between Bridget Jones and Lucy O’Sullivan is Getting Married. It was a great read without an overly cliched ending. I’d definitely recommend it.
The No Grownups book was also great. It’s about the kind of transition you go through in the 40s, realising that you are the grown up.

I just finished Black. It is a graphic novel created under the premise: What if minorities had supper powers?
I have the sequel on my waiting list. I haven't decided what to read next. I am thinking of reading Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green.
