Hello, I'm just in the throws of reading: A Cathedral Courtship, by Kate Douglas Wiggin (the same author of Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm). :techie-reference:

It actually is really good, I'm enjoying it immensely. I don't usually go for "romance" books, but, because of the way it is written, and the humour, plus the fact it is about travel through England, I'm pleasantly surprised.

I read books/novels pre 1940, including all the classics, this one is from 1893. :tiphat:

I am halfway on my Robert Ludlum book entitled The Gemini Contenders. This book is a great one, but is often overlooked due to the popularity of the Bourne series.

I'm currently reading A Court of Mist and Fury, sequel to A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. So far, the second book is the best in the series!

I'm reading Kings Cage by Victoria Aveyard. I just started reading it a few days ago, and I'm in LOVE with it so far. Very VERY good read. I could probably read it all in one night if I wouldn't stop myself!

Just started Faceless Killers, by Henning Mankel. It's the first in his Kurt Wallander series. I have enjoyed the Kenneth Branagh TV series, and have been meaning to tackle the books.
So far, it is an excellent crime thriller.

I'm reading "Peace Like a River" by Leif Enger. It's beautiful writing and has the feel of a folk tale despite taking place in the 1950's.

I am currently not reading any book. I am new to online book club.org, so I am just getting to know the website better. But I would love to start off by reading a romance novel, nothing too heavy, you know.

Hi and welcome, hope you enjoy being here! My own current reading matter is a surprise discovery, that's absolutely enchanting - a collection of stories by Joan Aiken (she of 'The Wolves of Willoughby Chase') entitled (also one of the stories) 'The Serial Garden'. Nominally written for children, and certainly within the reach of 9-10 plus fluent readers, younger if read to, but a wonderful read for adults too - tales of an apparently normal family who keep having encounters with various creatures of mythology and legend, interwoven beautifully.
