I'm a couple of hundred pages into The Long Way to the Small Angry Planet, I haven't read sci-fi in about seven years but I am enjoying this one far more than I thought I would!

The name is "Today's Best NonFiction" and just like the title, it's a collection of real stories, there's "Days of Grace" a memoir by Arthur Ashe the former tennis star who died of AIDS, "Marilyn Monroe" by former Roman Catholic Monk turned-best-seller Donald Spoto, "Marty's Day" by Michael Kelly and "All She Ever Wanted" by Ann Rule . I'm halfway way into "Days Of Grace" but the tears won't stop flowing, maybe because there is just something about seeing the world through the eyes of a dying Man.

I'm currently reading Elif Batuman's The Idiot. About 150 pages in and it is just wonderful so far! It's essentially a deep character study of a young woman at Harvard during the age of email.

I'm reading "An Oresteia" -- Anne Carson's translation of various Greek plays dealing with the House of Atreus. I went to see a production of the Aeschylus trilogy last week, so I wanted to get another perspective.

Other than that I'm mostly reading for uni, which is a bit tragic -- I really want to get back to some fiction. I have a list of ARCs to read that's practically the length of my arm at this point...

This is such a good question! You can tell so much about a person by what they read. I'm reading "The Hero With a Thousand Faces" by Joseph Campbell. Such an insightful look into the psychology behind the way we tell stories.

I am currently reading the Vampire Diaries series. I watched the show when it first came out and I wanted to see how different it was from the books.

I just finished Greg Maguire's Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister. I like the other take of the Cinderella story. It was a bit hard for me to get started on it but it was a worth while read. I’m going to read After Alice by the same author next.
