I'm reading 'Housing Elephants' by Eleanor Lloyd-Jones. It is a debut novel and very well written. I downloaded it on Kindle Unlimited mainly because of the good reviews it had elicited. I wasn't disappointed. If you like books with a deep emotional slant then this is for you. The young characters were well defined with a number of interesting complex family and personal problems.

Settling myself into Artemis Fowl, eternity code by Eoin Colfer. Actually, I've read the book before, just feels so good I have to reread it.

I am still reading 'Freeburg'. The book is not long and I will be through with it soon.

I've been rereading Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy, which is indeed "obscure" or dark. At the point where I left off, it's not clear what is his attitude toward Christianity. If Hardy were altogether anti, then good results would come to his characters for rejecting religion... but no, everything goes to hell either way. There is some satirical humor in Jude, if one is paying attention... I wonder if Hardy's "religion" is really something of his own devising. In the Wikipedia article, he is said to have had a belief in a "first cause," which in effect boils down to fate.

I know in advance that Jude is a tragedy, that everything goes wrong in the end. But I think I can recommend this book anyway. Whatever Hardy's satirical intentions in writing it, I know I'm in good hands reading it.

I'm currently working my way through the Children of The Gods series by I.T. Lucas. They are a great few series centered around some diverse and likable characters.

How's it going for you?
I've read it, and frankly, found it a bit overrated. Though Adiga definitely brings out the chaos of city life and the interwoven webs of corruption, I feel like he failed on providing the reader any hope, or a proper message
