How much do you typically spend on a book?

I tend to go to Goodwill and purchase used books. The are usually less than $2. If I go to a bookstore, then I will spend around $5-7. I can't justify spending more than that...to many bills and a kid on his way to college!

What I'll spend depends on the author, usually, but I often shop from online venues that I'll know sell newly released books for under $15. I often find great deals in my favorite genres.

I buy all my books used so I spend anywhere from $0.25 to $4 on a book.

I spend no more than $4.00, either from yard sales, thrift stores or used on-line.

Less than 5 bucks, and no more! There is a store that I know of that sells used books cheap.

I try to spend no more than twenty dollars at one time on books. I had to impose that limit when I found myself snatching up bargain books at a store just because they were on sale. Twenty dollars makes me think about the purchase and only select the ones I really want to read.

For me it depends on the author and the condition of the book. My budget ranges from $5 to at least $20.

I try to get my books for free. Sometimes, I will ask my library to get it for me.
