Paperback books are the best! They are so much easier to carry around, easier to hold...just better for convenience overall! They get beat up more easily, but even hardcovers sustain damage if they are loved enough. I've also literally had a few incidents where I dropped a hardcover book on my face while reading in bed...not a fun thing to have happen to you.

I love reading paperbacks, but I must say they get worn out easily. Hardcovers look great on your shelves, but are quote frankly, difficult to hold and read, especially in bed!

Very rarely do I read fiction, so most of what I read is for study purposes (non-fiction), and to me a book hasn't been properly studied if it isn't dog-eared, highlighted, cross-referenced, and notated. I generally carry books around with me as well, and it is generally easier to carry a paperback, so for me paperback is the way to go.

There are plenty of people who won't read eBooks. Are any of you opposed to reading paperbacks?

I love to read both paperback and hardback, but I tend to prefer paperback. Too often, hardback books come with those pesky book covers that slide around and get in the way when I'm trying to read, so I tend to just buy paperback.

Paperbooks are the best, they are easy to hold and can be carried around on the go. I do occasionally purchase hardcovers if there's a good deal. :)

This might sound odd but for me, it depends on the book. Some books like Diary of a Wimpy Kid I love in hardcover just because I'm used to it.

I prefer hardcover but if I can't get a book that I want in hard cover, I will settle for paperback. Hardcover just looks and feels nicer than paperback, and it doesn't fall apart as fast.

I prefer paperback books because they are easier to carry around. But hardcover editions are so beautiful to look at though.

Hardcover if I’m going to keep it for my library.
Necessary having a smart digital reading to every one

I used to really like hardcover books when I was a child because I liked the way they felt in my hands and the weight of it but now it doesn't really matter and I hardly take notice.

Both have their pros and cons, but the bottom line is they're books, so I love both!

Exactly, I like to cuddle up with hardbacks in the library. Not sure if I'm making this up, but I feel like hardbacks have a different...smell that makes them seem more 'booky', if that makes sense
