Paperback every time! Cheaper and easier to fit on overflowing bookshelves. Plus I tend to read lying in bed, and they are so much lighter to hold. Hardcovers would be more durable if they didn't so often come with a thin papery sleeve. I find it gets damaged and spoiled very easily.

I don’t mind either. I love both. I like hard cover because I like to remove the paper cover and see what the original cover looks like.

I prefer Hardcover just because I feel it gives more durability but as they are also more expensive, I tend to go with Paperbacks.

Great views, I prefer hardcover over paperback because of the durability and just the general feel of hardcovers.

I prefer getting the book in hardcover for collection purposes, but if I were just reading it at the library and had the option I would likely go for the paperback. It's easier to read from.

I personally prefer paperback, especially for storage and bringing it with me. I like how they're generally the same size. However, I do like how hardback books generally have a dust cover that can double as a bookmark.

I hate paperback, my books need to be hardcover, or else :D , they need to be able to stand up straight and proud, with good form and aura. I feel like paperbacks get worn out so easily, so I don't really like them.

The hardback edition looks better, but for me, the experience of reading books is more important than the appearance, so I prefer the cheaper version since I can buy more books while saving money on the cover.

Especially due to the fact that I am very sloppy. My books get torn all the time. I prefer paperback because they don't get torn as much.

I prefer paperback but if a book has a pretty cover it doesn't really matter! I fall for the aesthetics :D Paperbacks are easier to handle though, at least in my opinion.

I have both. And both have their good points. Though I generally try to buy more palate back more so because of the price. They are so much cheaper then hardcover. Paperbacks also take up less space. I will get the book in hard cover if it means getting a copy of that book sooner regather than waiting for the paperback to come out.

I like hardcovers if they look particularly nice or if it's a big release that I was very hyped for, but under general circumstances the cheaper price of a paperback wins out!

I like both. Paperbacks are affordable and easy to read but Hardcovers are majestic and precious. It depends on how much the copies cost :)
