I too prefer paperback, as they're usually smaller and lighter to carry.

Hardcover . I prefer a book that can stand up to repeated readings.

Paperback is lighter to carry around so you don't have to tire yourself with a heavier load

Paperbacks travel better, but hardcovers are more durable.
I agree. This makes hardcovers ideal for great books that you continuously want to re-read

Paperbacks! I tend to stuff them in m purse or backpack. They get pretty beat up by the time I'm done. For me they are easier to handle and I can sling them around some. I also tend to bend them back as I'm reading and I write in them as I go.

I honestly thought the popular opinion from readers would be hardcover. I don't know why. I guess I've only heard people rave about hardcover books. I myself am a lover of paperback. It's so much easier to hold when you read and carry and transport with you. I don't like carrying heavy loads of stuff but I do love to read physical copies of books so I always reach for paperback. However, I find very short hardcovers are cute and better than large hardcovers.

I usually get paperbacks. They are easier to hold if the book is long. Paperbacks are also cheaper and easier to take places.

I don't mind reading hardcovers as long as I'm in the comfort of my own home. When I have to go out somewhere I need to spend time waiting for something though (doctor's appointments and the like), paperbacks are more convenient.
