Paperback or Hardcover?

I have a lot more paperback than hardcover but I prefer hardcover books... they're so much more expensive though.

Paperbacks are much more portable and make reading in bed so much easier, however there is something quite calming and aesthetically pleasing about laying a large and heavy hardback on your lap whilst in front of a fire and sipping a cup of tea. Therefore, I would say that I am very neutral but it does depend on my situation.

I usually get paperback because they're often cheaper. I love to get hardcovers if I have the money to splurge. I'm not too particular but I do prefer hard copies to e-books, but I read e-books when I can't get a physical copy or they're on sale and cheaper. I also don't care too much if the book is new or used, so long as I have something to read lol

Hardcover because they're less fragile, though I won't refuse to buy paperback.

Paperbacks definitely cost less and I usually prefer to read them, but I love hardcovers. They look so nice in the shelf, so I'll usually end up with both hardcover and paperback--one for reading and one for show.

I typically go wih hardcover because it is easier to maintain and are easier to stand up on my shelves.

I definitely prefer softcover. They just feel right to me. Hardbacks are too rigid. I can read either if need be but given a choice, I'd pick softcover every time (oh unless it is a pocket paperback because those suck, they're too tiny!)

I love hardcover books, but paperbacks are definitely easier for me to handle. Plus they don't hurt if you accidentally smack yourself in the face it. Still, hardcovers have a special place in my heart.

Generally, I opt for paperback, but then there are some books/series that I've loved so much upon reading that I've had to buy another hardcover copy to keep on my bookcase to keep it safe and untorn whilst I re-read the paperback!

I love hardcover more than paperback, but it will do if I need it to. I don’t like it when a paperback book just closes on you and barely opens because it has that special plastic covering.

I tend to grab whatever's cheaper, and paperback happens to be the cheaper format.

Hardcover is more durable while the paperback is more comfortable. It depends on the thickness of the book. If it's thin I prefer paperback. But if its a fat book I prefer hardcover.
