Hardcover all the way! I have both but I love the beauty of a hardcover sitting on my wall.

Hard covers feel great in your hands, and they look newer as well. However, they ar much more expensive.

It matters not because if it's a paperback that I read a lot or think it's precious I cover it in clear contact paper. Sometimes hardcovers are bulky and too difficult to read. *original Hans Christian Anderson, I'm looking at you*

Cannot say I have a preference except that paperbacks are less expensive. Love the way hardcovers look on my bookshelves though.

I really enjoy hardcovers due to the fact they are more durable and stay standing on my bookshelves. The bindings may be easier to destroy if you are not careful but I do believe any serious book worm treats a book in such a way that is seldom an issue. Hardcovers are my preferred choice but from an economic standpoint I am usually forced to choose paperback unless I am able to splurge a bit :)

I almost always have a book with me because you never know when you’ll have time to read, right? I prefer paperback because it’s lighter to carry.

I love the way a bookshelf of all hardbacks look though. So neat and clean!

Paperback...when it comes to hard copy books. However I prefer eBooks to hard copies. With e-books I can carry whole libraries of books with me, to enjoy any time any where. Except when the gadgets run out of charge, of course!

Hardcover is better as it protects your book. Paperback books can easily get torn up after some time.

I prefer hardbacks always when it comes to physical books. I just hate it so much when my paperbacks curl up when stacked the wrong way! I cried one time because the cover of my favorite book suddenly got a crease! I knew I was taking care of it well. Now my other books are hardbacks. Helps me sleep at night knowing they won’t fold.

I prefer hardbacks when they are compendiums of photographs or to do with history. While paperbacks can be fragile and do not last as long, I vow to protect them on my shelves by stacking them safely.
Still, if a spine is bent or a page is folded, I am never completely heartbroken knowing that the portable magic still exists.
I once came across a copy of Matilda by Roald Dahl that my mother kept in my old bedroom that I read so many times and it is a bit worn but very loved.

I like both of them to be honest. Hardcover looks amazing on the bookshelf (feels amazing too) and I usually buy those but they're more expensive. Then again, Paperbacks tear easily but its lighter when you're travelling. Both of them have their own pro's and con's and I would hate to choose one. 😂😂

I like having hardback copies of my favorites to hand down to my grandkids. I’ll read pretty much any format I get my hands on though!

I like paperbacks better than hardbacks, because they are often cheaper. Then I can get two books instead of one! What I really prefer are e-books on my Kindle. It holds so many, and they don't take up room in my office. And my husband doesn't get after me about having them laying all over the house!
I am back! 4 months after radiation treatments and still cancer-free!
