When it comes to the pleasure or sake of reading, I don't mind both but, hardcover lasts longer and looks nicer whether on the shelf or just looking at it.

I prefer paper back because it is easier to fold into my pocket and carry along when I am in motion.

Paperbacks are just more readable to me. Hardbacks are heavy to carry around, and if you read a lot then you probably have two on you at all times, which causes problems. If you're a collector and like having books looking pretty on a shelf, then hardbacks are good. In my opinion, books are made to be read and not looked at, but as I always say, 'as long as you're not hurting anybody, do you homie.'

I prefer paperback because they are easy to handle and less bulky than hardcover. Plus, paperback books are cheaper!

I prefer paperback because they are easy to carry along and much comfortable to read everywhere. Since I love reading and tend to buy lot of books, it is much cheaper than hardcover. It is also very ideal for me whenever I leave home and go somewhere else, it is much more lighter that it fits perfectly well on my backpack.

I am a fan of hardcover. But it depends on the amount of pages in the book. If the hardcover is weighty, I get the paperback. If I love the book enough, I will purchase the hardcover later. The paperback then gets passed on to someone else to enjoy.

Paperback. Much lighter and thinner, so you can fit more on your shelves! :D

It doesn't matter to me. I like either. I try to stick to having all books in a series be either all paperback or hardcover, but more of than not I'll have a mix. It doesn't bother me much. I hate when my books get tore up and stuff, but st the same time it's like yea I really like that book. I have a copy of Where the Red Fern Grows that is paperback and it is all tore up because it was one of my favorite books when I was younger.

Paperbacks any time, I find hard covers cumbersome.

Either does it for me. Most of my books are paperback though. I like to keep my books in great condition..no dog ears or ripped pages.

I prefer paper backs they are easier to handle and carry around and hard covers tend to occupy more space.
