I prefer paperbacks because they cost less. They also take up less space. I also lend out a lot of my books, and I don't always get them back. I know I'm going to repurchase them anyway, so I don't want to spend a lot if I know I'm going to have to purchase multiple copies.

I'll read a book in whatever format I can get my hands on, really, but if I had to choose I'd pick hardcover. There's something more satisfying about having a hardcover to read as opposed to a paperback. It feels more important, somehow, like you're sitting down to a formal dinner instead of sitting down to a Happy Meal. That may sound snooty, but it's true.

I prefer the look of hardcovers especially on my book shelf but when it comes to actually reading books I find paperbacks are a lot easier to handle. They are lighter to carry around and bend into different positions that make them easier to read.

I love the look of a hardcover but I prefer the feel of a paperback. Most of my books, when I did buy physical books, were paperback. Now I only buy eBooks.

Paperbacks are easier to transport and are cheaper. However, I like the hardcovers' look on my bookshelves :P.

For books I like, I try to get hardcover as I'd like the book to last. If I don't have any feelings towards the book, I just get paperback and if I end up liking it, I gift it to someone and buy the hardcover :D

In terms of comfort, I'd go for the paperback as its weight makes it handy that adds up to its convenience. However, being careless as I am, I think hardcover suits me more because of its durability.

Paperback! Although, I love the looks of hardcover :)
But, ever since I began to read, I have preferred paperback. I remember, roaming through library shelves, I would usually go for the paperback cover. I don't know, why :)

I like to have my favourite books in all sorts of editions and hardback so they get less damaged. I do love a paperback though as it feels even more natural. The scent of a nice old book is just amazing. (When will someone make a book scented candle??)

I prefer paperback, I guess they're easier to hold. I don't mind hardback, if you have spare books to give away :P

I like paperback for fictions and novels. But, I like hardback for nonfiction. I feel nonfiction books will last longer in my collection than the fiction books. I rarely re-read a fiction book but am always looking for some piece of information in my nonfiction collection. :techie-studyingbrown:
