I reread Anne of Green Gables all the time. It's like Jo March says in Little Women (the second book I reread all the time), "some books are so familiar that reading them is like returning home again." I grew up with Anne Shirley, we've been best friends since I was five. When I need a laugh, or when I'm sad or homesick, I go to Green Gables. I love it.

Sooo many that it is hard to think about. I reread classics fairly frequently (Jane Austen, Bronte sisters and the like) and books I loved from my youth- Lord of the Rings, The Secret Garden and The Phantom Tollbooth. It is especially fun to read these stories and other beloved ones such as the Potter and Snicket series with my own kids. I just love the world of books...Stephen King has some great ones that are fun to return to every now and again too. If anyone out there loves nonfiction there is a book called The Frontiersman that we had to read in 9th grade that I thought I would hate and absolutely loved! I ended up purchasing it after graduation and it makes the rounds as well. :)

Hello all!

I am a chronic re-reader. Some of my favorites to go back to are books I loved in my young adult years, particularly the Harry Potter series. I also re-read To Kill a Mockingbird pretty frequently (partly because I teach it and partly because I love it). Another favorite is Jane Eyre. There's just so much to enjoy in that one that I get something new out of it every time.

I think it’s more accurate to say “books” because of how many tines I’ve reread the Harry Potter books, and listened to the audiobooks! (I had them when I was younger, and thanks to Audible still do!)

I was never good at rereading books. I'm not sure why. Part of me kind of feels like once I've read it the first time then the story is over. I have gone back and read certain passages of books before, mostly Harry Potter books. I was better at rereading books during my elementary school days.

I agree, I too have read Jane Eyre many many times. I still believe, even after reading hundreds upon hundreds of books over the years, that no other novel has come close to capturing the feel of that book.

The other book I have read probably more than any other is The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck. I recently picked up a Reader's Digest condensed version and put it down a few chapters in because I knew the lines that had been cut out. I didn't realize I had read it that many times.

I do free reads on my nook and found this amazing author Quinn Loftis. She writes paranormal romance novels but not in a graphic sort of way. She makes her characters come to life in a way that is oddly relatable.

I actually rarely reread books. I'm surprised that so many people do. I'd always rather choose something new.
