1. Never reread anything,
2. Never start a book you aren't going to finish.

I've followed these two rules to the best of my ability for as long as I can remember.
Your first rule is really interesting ! May I ask why you choose to follow this particular rule ? :D Because I personally love to reread a good book from time to time.

Well, I also like to write, and they always say you can't write if you don't read; that's the key.

I feel like I would rather spend more time learning about more authors and the worlds they've created inside their head than reread a world I'm already familiar with.

I feel like I can learn more that way, plus I don't really like reading stories I already know; I don't enjoy it. Does that make sense? 😉

The Mysterious Island. Jules Verne did really put a tinge of mystery in his story. The island just came out of nothingness. I couldn't fathom what was he thinking putting characters of different personalities and skills in one isolated island.

Enders Game by Orson Scott Card, its the only book I keep coming back to. I've read it about 10 times now (I rarely reread anything so it's a lot).

The books I reread most are those that I teach. In my personal reading, I rarely reread books as I would be more interested in reading another book by the author if I enjoyed reading his or her narratives.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I find it super relatable, and while it talks about tough subjects, it does it in a way that doesn’t feel too heavy. It’s got a lot of heart and humor and is just my favorite go to book when I need a pick me up.
