It’s the only historical fiction based on basic history and architectural facts that has captured me mind heart and soul. Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth and The End of the World and this entire group. He fascinates from his intrigue politico thriller dramas you’d think his mind wouldn’t track to 17th and 16th century cultural struggle. His insights into the parasitic evolution of faith based power structure makes it so clear why society is so screwed up now.

I can't seem to get enough of the Anne series by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I also reread Pride and Prejudice and The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

Excession, by Iain M Banks. I re-read a lot, but this one is always waiting at the back of my mind. I don't want to say I skim read, I prefer to think I read voraciously, more especially if the story draws me in. I get a kick from knowing that I will devour the book then set it aside for a time, six months to a year, and forget about it so I can go back and enjoy it. Thereafter I will do the same again with perhaps longer intervals. With a select few like Excession I take comfort from knowing that eventually I'll be returning to enjoy it again. Each time I go back there's usually some new detail I notice, some plot angle or setup that I've overlooked.

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. I used to read it every year for my birthday, now I read it some time during each year. It reminds me how easy it is to develop a spirit of vanity, depravity, and evil and to make deliberate, daily decisions to do what's right.

I’m a sucker for the Twilight Saga. Honestly, I could read the whole series again, and again, each week if I wanted to. Sitting down with a romantic book every now and then is comforting. Other than that, give me horror books such as Pet Cemetery or even Warm Bodies. Actually that might not count...it has romance and zombies. Hm.

Hunger Games! It's addicting, and once I start reading it, the book's impossible to put down. I wonder what spell Ms. Suzzane Collins put in her book. XD
