Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant by Anne Tyler, because I think it's one of her best novels. East of Eden by John Steinbeck, because it's such a mesmerizing saga. A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving, because it's just so poignant, yet oddly uplifting.

I reread Harry Potter over and over again. Its even more entertaining to reread the story now as an adult, then it was as a child to listen to the audiobooks. I used to fall asleep at night to the chapters of The Chamber of Secrets. As a grad student we analyzed J.K Rowling's novels in my Children's Literature course. Its always fun to reread Harry's adventures no matter what age the reader is.

I reread The Hunger Games series, by Suzanne Collins, almost every year. It is the book series that got me into reading and it holds a special place in my heart.

I do like rereading books but after some time. The one I never leave reading though is the Bible. Every now and then, everything seems new and fresh hence it is always my favorite.

The only book I have ever read more than once is Lord of the Rings. Something about it appealed to me so much when I first lived away from home in my 20's - especially the sense of adventure. Otherwise, reading books for me is a bit like my attitude to travelling - there are so many books to read and places to visit that I feel strangely a little bit resentful when I go back to a book I have already read or go to a place I have already visited!

I always end up rereading the Abarat series by Clive Barker. Its such a great book series and I've been reading it since I was in High School.

Definitely the Harry Potter series, but also Pride and Prejudice, and The Stand. Because sometimes you need a little slow burning romance, and other times you need some psychological terror.

For me it's a tie between Harry Potter, the Inkheart Series by Cornelia Funke and The Ruby Red books by Kerstin Gier (in German)

I love all three of these series so much and I could reread them all the time! Harry Potter and Inkheart were my favorite childhood books and will stay in my heart forever. And the Ruby Red books are just so feel good that I turn to them every time I don't feel good. They help me feel better every time.
